Śrīla Sachinandan Dās Goswāmī
ଶ୍ରୀଳ ଶଚୀନନ୍ଦନ ଦାସ ଗୋସ୍ୱାମୀ ମହାରାଜ
Dear disciple of Śrīla Gour Govinda Swāmī, and the servant who gave his life to Daṇḍabhaṅga, the riverbank where Lord Caitanya’s staff was broken.
Words of Gurudeva
From his Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam classes
A devotee hates none and loves all. By nature, this is his heart.
Guru is to be seen through the eye of the ear. Our eyeballs may cheat us. So, one has to see through the eye of the ear, ‘srutakshita pantha’. So, our parampara is ‘srauta parampara’: to keep on hearing.
Remain as simple. Simplicity is Vaishnavism, but don’t be a fool.
A life given to the Dhām
Born Srutidhar into a Vaiṣṇava family of Bhubaneswar, he carried his guru on a bicycle to preach and served for years as a senior officer of Odisha Tourism. From 1996 his whole heart went to the riverbank where Lord Caitanya’s staff was broken.

Where the staff was broken
On His first journey to Purī as a sannyāsī, Lord Caitanya's daṇḍa was broken by Lord Nityānanda beside the Bhārgavī river. The Caitanya-caritāmṛta calls it a most hidden pastime. The place lay forgotten until 1996, when Śrīla Haridās Sen Bābājī revealed it to Śrīla Gurudeva.
His guru had predicted it: “Don't be disheartened, Sachinandan. An inconceivable and supremely merciful līlā-bhūmi of Śrīman Caitanya Mahāprabhu will come your way to render services.”
